The Girl Made Of Light by Rhythm-Wily The Girl Made Of Light by Rhythm-Wily
This is for :iconatomictiki:'s annual OBSCURIJAM! So glad he's still doing these. It's still running so if you want to participate there's still time!

My choice was to do Lia Nelson AKA The Flash. I remember seeing this comic on the newstand back in '97 and being intrigued by the 60's throwback cover I picked it up. Tangent Comics was basically where DC took a list of super heros and entirely reinvented them just using their names. I wish this had been a regular ongoing series because I think the idea of a girl being made of light and being able to change her appearance through the use of bending light was a cool idea.

This is obscure enough, right guys?

Actually, I think DC briefly had the Tangent heroes meet with the familiar faces of their main universe (Tangent Flash racing the more iconic Scarlet Speedster, for example). In any case, I found her one-shot issue in a used comic box, and it was a fun change-up from the usual DC fare.

Well that's awesome! After drawing this I'm getting the urge to find my copy(wherever it is). I also am now thinking I should try to track down copies of all the Tangent comic one-shots.
